Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
It’s hard to believe that the school year is already coming to an end! Students in the Forward Scholars Tutoring program have been working hard to not only improve their reading and writing skills, but to improve their growth mindset. They’re understanding that they may not know how to do something “yet” but with effort and practice they will!
On the last week of school, students will receive their special “Reading Award” to acknowledge their successes in tutoring thus far. On the back of the award is a chart that shows your student’s progress from the beginning to the end of the year. They are also coming home with books to keep them reading throughout the summer! Should you need more books, don’t hesitate to visit your local library.
Thank you for all you do at home to support them on their reading journey. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s site coordinator. We can’t wait to be back in schools next year to make even more literacy gains!
